Yemeni Ambassador Discusses with the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister the Latest Developments in Yemen and the Region

Today, Monday, the Yemeni Ambassador to Japan, Adel bin Ali Al-Sunaini, met at the Japanese Prime Minister’s Office with Isao Iijima, the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, to discuss the latest developments in our country and the region, and to work on strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and expanding areas of support for projects and programs.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Sunaini reviewed the latest developments in our country and the region, pointing to the unprecedented military escalation in the region, affirming Yemen’s position that strongly condemns and denounces the unjustified Iranian attacks that targeted civilian facilities, service sites, and residential areas in a number of Arab countries using missiles and drones, which constitute a grave violation of state sovereignty, principles of good neighborliness, rules of international law, and the United Nations Charter.
In addition, Ambassador Al-Sunaini addressed the government’s steps and the progress made in the path to restoring recovery and normalizing conditions to enhance security and stability and improve living and service conditions, expressing Yemen’s aspiration to expand the strategic partnership in a way that contributes to strengthening the directions of Dr. Shaig Al-Zindani’s government to succeed the executive reform program for its enhanced economic recovery plan, which supports peace and stability efforts and is consistent with the foreign policies of the friendly Japanese government.
