Always keep your passport with you, as it serves as an official form of identification.

Be sure to carry enough cash in foreign currencies (such as U.S. dollars, Japanese yen, or euros) for emergency situations, as opening a bank account in Japan can take several weeks. Please note that it may be difficult to exchange Yemeni rials in Japan.

Be sure to have the full address of your hotel or destination written in Japanese, so that you can ask for assistance if you lose your way.

Avoid using mobile phones on public transportation and in hospitals.

Tipping is generally not customary in Japan and is usually not expected.

In Japan, both driving and walking are on the left side. When using escalators, stand on the left side.

Do not take photographs in places where it is prohibited.

In traditional Japanese restaurants, you are often required to remove your shoes at the entrance and sit on the floor at a low table.
