Ambassador Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Joint Cooperation

Yemen’s Ambassador to Japan, Adel bin Ali Alsunaini , met with Japanese Member of Parliament, Takagi Kei, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation. During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Sunaini praised the advanced level of relations and the Japanese government’s firm commitment to supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, as well as Yemen’s security, stability, and unity. He also commended Japan’s efforts to achieve peace and its support for the Yemeni people, emphasizing Yemen’s keenness to consolidate bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in various fields.

Ambassador Al-Sunaini reviewed the latest developments in the current situation and the ongoing challenges, in addition to the economic and developmental conditions facing Yemen. He also outlined the practical approaches adopted by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to further strengthen and activate state institutions.
Ambassador Al-Sunaini reiterated Yemen’s aspiration to expand the scope of support in line with its vision and the efforts of the friendly Japanese government to achieve peace and stability in Yemen. This support would align with the government’s efforts to normalize the situation and improve the lives of citizens in the areas of health, education, electricity, roads, rehabilitation and training programs, reconstruction, capacity building, and vocational and technical training.
For his part, Mr. Takagi Kei reaffirmed the Japanese government’s support for the stability and unity of Yemen, its solidarity with the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Yemeni people, and its continued support for Yemen in the political, economic, developmental, and humanitarian fields. He also emphasized Japan’s commitment to rebuilding and supporting peace processes to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
